The first step is to reach out and let me know of your interest in a newborn portrait session. Indicate your communication preference on the contact form, and I will take the time to get to know you and learn more about your vision for your newborn session. I’ll walk you through the experience you can expect, answer any questions you may have, and go over pricing details to ensure everything is clear. This is an important step in making sure we’re the perfect fit for one another and setting the stage for an unforgettable experience. We will discuss potential dates, and will secure at least two spots on my calendar for your session. Baby’s arrival is usually unpredictable, and this will ensure we are prepared regardless of when that time comes.

Your newborn session will be crafted in a way that reflects you style and story. Once your session is booked, we will discuss your preferences of colors, textures, and themes that hold special meaning for your family. Every detail will be thoughtfully curated to create images as unique as your little one. We’ll also explore wardrobe options, including my client closet of beautiful gowns for mom. I”ll walk you through the session process from capturing your baby’s delicate details, to family and sibling photos, ensuring you feel confident, excited, and fully prepared for this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

The big day is here! Photos with Mom, Dad, and siblings will be done first while everyone is fresh. If Mom chooses to add on hair and makeup, she will arrive with baby before the rest of the family to allow plenty of unrushed time to be pampered for her portraits with baby. During this time, I will begin taking photos of baby, while Mom will be in a position she can easily watch the magic happen. Then we will capture photos of Mom with baby, and by now the rest of the family will arrive to step in for their photos with baby. Every step is designed to be calm, comfortable, and effortless, so you can fully soak in this special experience while I create timeless images you’ll cherish forever.

The reveal session is where the magic truly comes to life. We’ll set up a time for you to return to the studio and begin by watching a beautiful slideshow of your gallery, filled with the most precious images of your newborn and family. It’s an emotional moment that often brings tears! Afterward, I’ll help guide you through selecting your favorite images and how you’d like to preserve them, whether through heirloom albums, fine art prints, or custom wall art. Once you have selected your digital images, within just a few hours, you will receive an online gallery where you can download your photos ready to cherish and share.

The final step is the delivery of your beautiful artwork or albums, thoughtfully crafted to preserve these once-in-a-lifetime moments. Whether it’s custom wall art or a luxurious album, each piece is designed to be cherished for generations - a lasting reminder of just how tiny and perfect your baby was in these early days. Once your beautiful heirlooms are delivered to my studio, we will set up a time for your to pick up your items. If you prefer, shipping can be included as an add on to your artwork investment. Many of our newborn clients return for milestone sessions and family portraits as their little one grows, ensuring that every chapter of their journey is beautifully documented. Can parents and siblings be included?
Absolutely - these moments make some of the most meaningful images of your entire gallery.
What if my baby doesn’t sleep during the session?
That’s completely ok. Newborn sessions are baby-led, and we allow time for extra feedings and soothing as needed. If your baby is awake, we’ll use more wrapped poses to keep them cozy and comfortable. Beautiful images can be created whether your baby is sleeping or quietly awake.
Do you photograph twins?
Yes! Twins, triplets, and any sets of multiples!
What if my baby was premature or spent time in the NICU?
We will work around the time that baby comes home. I have photographed many newborns that spent time in the NICU before they came for their session.
What should parents wear for family photos?
Simple, solid, comfortable clothing works best. Neutral tones photograph beautifully and keep the focus on connection rather than outfits.
What if my baby has baby acne or cradle cap?
That’s very common and nothing to worry about. Minor skin concerns such as baby acne or cradle cap can be gently addressed through natural, professional retouching while still keeping your images soft and true to your baby.

Yes. Each collection includes high-resolution digital files so you can download, share, and print your images with ease.
