This sweet girl first came into my studio during the Christmas season as a newborn.
We incorporated rich colors of green, red, and cream to represent the Christmas season when she was welcomed into the world.
And just like that, a year passed, bringing us to a cake smash session that felt like stepping into a dream.
For her first birthday, we wanted to honor the beginning of her story of welcoming her at Christmas time, while creating something entirely new. We wanted to create photos that were whimsical, imaginative, and fitting for the wonder of turning one.
Instead of traditional holiday tones, we leaned into a sugar plum fairy theme. Rather than deep evergreen tones and classic Christmas hues, we shifted to soft pastels, delicate sparkle, and a setting that felt like it existed somewhere between the clouds and a dream.
We created the illusion of her floating in the sky, surrounded by:

Pastel candies and sweet treats
Gentle shimmer and sparkle woven throughout
